The history of Gîte Éthic Simple & Chic in Labastide-Marnhac in the Lot department
Between nature, ecology, passion and reconversion
The birth of Gîte Éthic Simple & Chic
The story of Noélie Vergnes
As its name suggests, Gîte Éthic Simple & Chic is an ethical gîte business in Labas-tide-Marnhac, near Cahors, in the Lot region of south-western France. Let us tell you our story.
Noélie Vergnes is the young mother of an 8-year-old girl. After 10 years in Switzerland, she decided to change careers. So she decided to return to her roots in Labastide-Marhnac in the Lot. Passionate about nature, she chose to embark on the adventure of ethical gîtes to promote her native Lot and help travellers discover this gentle region.
Promoting responsible tourism
At Gîte Éthic Simple & Chic, we believe in responsible tourism that values local, organic consumption and local artisans. We are proud to have, and to continue, to work with local craftsmen to create our gîtes using quality materials. We are also certified 0 waste, Hand in Hand with Syded du Lot and OhMyLot ambassadors. We attach great importance to detail and quality to offer our guests a pleasant stay in the Lot valley.
